In another endeavour to reduce energy consumption in our communities, modifications are being carried out on the temperature control systems of the community swimming pools in Al Samar, Al Dhafrah, Al Ghozlan, Al Thayyal, Al Arta and Al Alka. The original design of the systems consisted of compressors and nickel-copper heat exchanger tubes; and the temperature was controlled via heat transfer between the tubes, pool water and refrigerants. But with constant technological enhancements, it now makes sense to introduce a new system, where the former heat exchange method is replaced by temperature control systems directly linked to the existing chilled / cool water lines (used to cool your units). This system will be environmentally friendly, easier and more cost effective to maintain and will consume less energy. The anticipated savings from this modification will be approximately AED 50,000 per community, per annum.
